La'Toscha Edwards-Smith, MSW

Healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely supported, empowered, and accepted for your authentic self.

I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern in Florida with a Master of Social Work from Saint Leo University. I provide trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for children, teens, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, and emotional overwhelm. Whether you're navigating a difficult season, healing from past experiences, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to help you build the tools and confidence needed to move forward.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating strengths-based, person-centered, and culturally responsive care. Together, we'll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical coping strategies that promote healing, resilience, and lasting change.

I have experience providing individual therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy, as well as supporting individuals and families impacted by trauma, major life transitions, family conflict, relationship concerns, and everyday life stressors. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, which is why I tailor each session to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Above all, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, understood, and empowered with practical tools to navigate life's challenges while creating a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with your values.

I offer in-person therapy in Central Florida and virtual therapy throughout Florida, making it easier to access compassionate mental health care wherever you are.
