Discovering Inner Peace with Be Kind To Mind Counseling

What is counseling?

Therapy and counseling provide a supportive space to build coping skills, process emotions and past experiences, improve self-awareness, and strengthen emotional well-being. Mental health counseling can help with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, neurodivergence, relationship challenges, stress, grief, and major life transitions. Services may include individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, child therapy, or group support, depending on each client’s unique needs and goals.

How long do you go to counseling?

The length of therapy varies based on your unique needs, goals, and life experiences. Some clients begin feeling relief and improvement within a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support for anxiety, trauma, relationships, OCD, neurodivergence, or ongoing mental health challenges. Therapy is a personalized process, and you have control over the pace and length of your care.

What does it cost?

Therapy can be paid for through self-pay or insurance. Depending on your insurance, the rates vary. We always recommend talking with your insurance company to verify benefits. For self-pay, it is between $105 - $125.

Do you provide superbills?

Yes! Just let us know!

Who are youl allied with?

Every member of our team is either part of or an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and is committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and compassionate mental health care. Our therapists support diverse identities and lived experiences, including neurodivergence, disability, body positivity, sex/kink-affirming care, and authentic self-expression.

What is the therapy process?

Your first therapy session typically focuses on understanding your background, mental health concerns, goals, and personal experiences. Early sessions are designed to build trust, strengthen the therapeutic relationship, and introduce coping skills and strategies tailored to your needs. As therapy progresses, your therapist may use assessments to better understand symptoms related to anxiety, trauma, OCD, neurodivergence, depression, relationships, or other mental health challenges. After the intake process, an individualized treatment plan is created to guide therapy and support meaningful, lasting growth.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a 24-hour notice to cancel otherwise full fee of session will be charged due to that time being reserved for you. If there is an emergency, please communicate with your clinician.

Do you offer in person?

Yes! We offer in-person therapy sessions at our counseling offices in DeLand and Daytona Beach, Florida. Select clinicians also provide virtual therapy across Florida, allowing flexible access to mental health support for anxiety, trauma, OCD, neurodivergence, relationships, and more.
