I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida with over ten years of experience providing trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology, my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and my Play Therapy Certificate from Stetson University. I provide both in-person and online counseling throughout Florida, helping clients navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, low self-esteem, anger, emotional regulation, stress, life transitions, and family relationships.
While I enjoy working with a variety of ages and concerns, I am especially passionate about child therapy and early intervention for children ages 4–12. I believe children communicate most naturally through play, and I use play therapy as a developmentally appropriate way to help children process emotions, build coping skills, improve communication, and work through difficult experiences. Through both directive and non-directive play therapy, children are given a safe space to express worries, fears, frustrations, and hopes while developing healthier ways of understanding and managing their emotions.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and family-centered. I work closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen the child-parent relationship, provide parent coaching, and create practical strategies that support growth both inside and outside of therapy sessions. Together, we address concerns such as anxiety, behavioral challenges, emotional outbursts, school-related stress, trauma, social difficulties, and family conflict, while also identifying and building upon each child’s unique strengths.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children and families feel understood, connected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I believe that when children receive the right support early on, they can develop the confidence, resilience, and emotional tools needed to thrive both now and in the future.
